Duda reveals priority amid Zelenskyy-Trump talks

Polish President Andrzej Duda commented on the meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump at the Vatican on April 26. In his interview with Polsat News he shared what remains his main priority.
"I hope that there is a special spirit during the meeting that could inspire new decisions and ideas to help end this war. For me, the most important thing is the interests of Poland and the Polish people," he emphasized.
Duda stressed that it is in Poland's and the Polish people's interest for this war to end with a just peace.
"He will also provide us with guarantees so that we can truly develop in peace, without fearing attacks," the Polish president added.
Zelenskyy and Trump meeting
On April 26, the Vatican hosted the funeral of Pope Francis, who passed away on April 21. Thousands of believers and around 50 world leaders gathered for the ceremony.
During the event, a personal meeting took place between Zelenskyy and Trump — their first conversation since the White House conflict on February 28.
It was expected that Zelenskyy and Trump would hold talks after the memorial ceremony, but those plans were later canceled.
Additionally, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described his conversation with Trump as productive.
