Drones strike Simferopol power plant: Power outage reported in Crimea

On the night of Monday, October 13, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Russians complained about an attack by unknown drones, according to the Krymskyi Viter Telegram channel.
Residents reported power outages in Simferopol and Feodosia. According to Krymskyi Viter, there may have been a strike on the Simferopol Thermal Power Plant (Tavriia Thermal Power Plant - ed.).
In particular, explosions and a large number of drones were reported overnight over Simferopol and its suburbs. As well as in Hvardiiske, from where the Russians launch Shahed drones at Ukraine. There are also warehouses with Russian drones located there.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that overnight, air defense forces shot down 103 drones.
Also, last night, drones likely attacked the oil depot in Feodosia again, causing a fire. In addition, there were reports of damage to the Kafa power substation near Feodosia.
As of 9 a.m. Kyiv time, there is information about a major fire at the Tavriia Thermal Power Plant near Simferopol.
"It is unknown what exactly is causing the smoke. The extent of the damage and how it will affect the power supply are also unknown," writes Krymskyi Viter.
Attack on terminal in Feodosia
A week ago, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the facilities of the Marine Oil Terminal in the temporarily occupied Feodosia. As a result of the attack, the oil transfer complex had been burning for 2 days in a row.
