Drones disrupt Norway airport operations overnight

On the night of Monday, October 6, reports of unknown drones disrupted operations at Oslo International Airport in Norway, NRK reports.
The agency says that after midnight, the Eastern Police District received a report that the pilot of a Norwegian aircraft thought he saw drones while landing at Oslo Airport. The police sent a crew to the scene and contacted the aircraft crew to obtain more information about the sighting.
According to preliminary data, 3 to 5 drones were spotted in the area.
A police crew went to the scene and contacted the pilot to clarify the information.
The police said that the reports of drones in the airport area have not yet been confirmed, and the investigation is ongoing. As a result, several planes were forced to circle over the airport, but no flights were diverted.
Later, the police and the Gardermoen airport administration reported that the airport was operating normally and that the incident had only caused minor flight delays.

Drones in EU countries
In recent weeks, NATO countries have recorded Russian provocations. Among them is the intrusion of drones into European airspace.
On September 10, Russian drones flew into Poland.
And on the night of September 25, unknown drones were spotted over Danish airports in Aalborg, Esbjerg, and Sønderborg, as well as over the Skridstrup airbase.
Aalborg Airport suspended operations for several hours due to the appearance of drones in its airspace.
Similar incidents were also recorded over a military airbase and the Karlskrona archipelago in Sweden.
