Residents of Yeysk, Slavyansk-on-Kuban, and nearby towns reported a series of explosions and drone flights, according to ASTRA and several other Russian media outlets.

Several settlements in Krasnodar Krai were hit by unmanned aerial vehicles. In Yeysk and Slavyansk-on-Kuban, locals reported hearing explosions and the activation of air defense systems. Witnesses noted more than a dozen blasts, and preliminary reports indicate that several drones were shot down.

Damage and consequences

Residents of Temryuk, Krymsk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk also reported drone flights and sirens. In Slavyansk-on-Kuban, drone fragments fell on the grounds of three private houses, damaging facades, roofs, and breaking windows. Additionally, debris caused a grass fire in an industrial area. No casualties were reported, and emergency and response services are on site.

Regional authorities’ response

The regional operational headquarters confirmed the attacks and reported the safety measures being implemented. Specialists are monitoring the situation, coordinating the work of fire and rescue services, ensuring residents’ protection, and minimizing damage to infrastructure.

Situation in Ukraine

On the night of September 22, Russian strike drones targeted residential areas in the Boryspil district of Kyiv. According to local authorities, the first reports of fires came in around 2:00 a.m. Kyiv time.

Zaporizhzhia and Sumy were also hit by enemy attacks.

In the Sumy region, one person was injured during the drone strikes, according to acting mayor Artem Kobzar. Two strikes targeted industrial facilities, and another hit an educational institution. In nearby apartment buildings, windows were shattered and balcony frames damaged.

Due to Russian military attacks, a building caught fire, the regional military administration reported. The enemy struck a civilian infrastructure facility, resulting in several cars being destroyed or damaged.

On September 21, Russian forces shelled Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region using artillery, multiple-launch rocket systems, and drones. These attacks caused both fatalities and injuries.

During the night of September 21, the Russian army launched 54 drones at Ukrainian territory, around 30 of which were Shahed drones. Strikes targeted eight different locations, with launches conducted from four directions: Kursk, Millerovo, Bryansk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
