A drone and missile alert has been declared in Krasnodar Krai, Russia. Preliminary reports suggest the target may be an oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, according to Russian media.
"A UAV threat has been declared across Krasnodar Krai," and "a missile alert has again been announced in Krasnodar Krai," local channels report.
According to preliminary information, the intended target of the aerial objects is an oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban.
It is also reported that airports in Krasnodar and Gelendzhik have activated the Kover plan, temporarily restricting aircraft arrivals and departures, Russia’s aviation authority said.
The Kover plan is an emergency regimen in Russia’s civil aviation, introduced in response to security threats (such as drones, terrorist attacks, or combat activity). It overlooks the immediate closure of airspace, suspension of takeoffs and landings, and diversion of aircraft to alternate airports.
