Drone strike knocks out electricity in Donetsk region, outages reported

Overnight from November 17 to 18, power issues reappeared in the occupied city of Donetsk and other cities in the region. This occurred amid an attack by unknown drones on one of the substations, according to local and other Telegram channels.
According to public reports, the drone attack began around 23:50. Drones were recorded over several cities in the occupied Donetsk region.
Within just half an hour, Typychnyi Donetsk reported that power was flickering in Makiivka and some districts of Donetsk. Additionally, Ilovaisk was left without electricity.
Shortly afterward, public channels began reporting that drones were attacking the Zuyivska TPP in the settlement of Zuhres. Videos shared on social media show that a fire broke out in the area of the facility.
Several public channels claim that the transformer of the second boiler was hit and disabled as a result of the attack.
It is currently unknown whether any other facilities in the region were targeted.
Blackout in the occupied Donetsk region
On the night of November 17, the occupied part of the Donetsk region also experienced power outages.
Residents reported attacks by unknown drones. According to unofficial sources, the drones targeted a substation.
At least Donetsk and Yasynuvata were without electricity, and parts of Makiivka, Horlivka, and Yenakiieve also experienced outages.
