Drone strike in Sumy targets factories and school, leaves casualties

On the night of September 22, residents of Sumy heard a series of explosions, which were later confirmed to be the result of an attack by Iranian Shahed drones, according to the acting mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar.
He reported that two drones struck industrial facilities, while another hit an educational institution. As a result of the strikes, one person was injured.
By 9:00 a.m. Kyiv time on September 22, a response headquarters is scheduled to be deployed to manage the aftermath of the emergency.
Strong shockwaves also damaged nearby residential buildings: windows, balcony units, and frames in apartment blocks were shattered. Local services are already working on-site, assessing the extent of the destruction and assisting those affected.
Artem Kobzar urged city residents to remain calm and follow safety rules during air raid alerts.
Drone attack on the night of September 22
On the night of September 22, enemy drone strikes affected settlements in four districts of the Kyiv region. Earlier, there were reports of threats from UAV attacks in Fastiv, Obukhiv, Bucha, Bila Tserkva, and Vyshhorod districts.
Additionally, the enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia, carrying out at least five strikes. Civil infrastructure and industrial facilities were targeted.
