Drone carrying explosives crashes in rural Romania

The drone crashed in a rural area of the Viișoara commune in Vaslui County. Law enforcement officers determined that the device contained explosives, Digi24 reports.
Drone crashed in Romania
A local resident found the drone in a field in the Viișoara commune, about 30 kilometers from the border with Moldova. Police are investigating how the UAV ended up there and where it came from.
Police and gendarmes cordoned off the area where the drone was found, which is an agricultural field. No property damage or casualties were reported, but authorities established a security perimeter.
Experts arrived at the scene and determined that the drone contained explosives. It will most likely be detonated to eliminate any potential danger.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that on August 20, two Romanian Air Force F-16 fighter jets were scrambled. The reason was a small maritime drone spotted in Romania's exclusive economic zone near the Neptun Alpha platform.
It was also reported that on the night of August 20, a drone entered Romanian airspace near the border with Ukraine. The aircraft crashed near the town of Grindul in Tulcea County.
In addition, on August 16, a Spanish F-18 fighter jet shot down a drone that had illegally entered Romanian airspace. The incident occurred during a patrol as part of a NATO mission.
