Explosions are being reported in the Dnipropetrovsk region amid a Russian drone attack. The Air Force of Ukraine has also warned of drones moving toward the regional center, according to the newly appointed head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha.
"The Dnipropetrovsk region is under a drone attack. It is loud. Take care. Remain in a safe place until the all-clear," Hanzha wrote.
Shortly before that, the Air Force of Ukraine warned of a drone threat heading toward Kamianske. Later, the Air Force issued further alerts about strike drones moving toward Dnipro. The latest update stated, "UAVs south of Dnipro, heading south."
Local social media channels are publishing footage of the attack in Dnipro and report power outages in several districts of the city.

Attacks on Dnipro and region
On January 8, Borys Filatov reported that Dnipro was facing an emergency of national scale following a massive Russian attack. The city has been working to restore power supply and restart boiler houses left without electricity. The most critical issue was heat supply, which became impossible due to the blackout on January 7.
Over January 7–8, Russian forces carried out large-scale strikes on energy infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk region and Zaporizhzhia region.
As a result of the attacks, widespread power outages were recorded in both regions. Due to the critical situation, resilience centers were deployed in cities, and residents were urged to stock up on water.
