19 Russian drones enter Poland, less than a quarter shot down - Prime Minister
Nineteen Russian drones entered Polish airspace overnight, of which only four were shot down by Polish air defense forces, Sky News reports.
In particular, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that there were 19 "intrusions" into Poland's airspace overnight, with four drones shot down.
According to Tusk, a large number of enemy drones came from Belarusian territory.
Zelenskyy calls for common European air defense system after drone attack on Poland
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a conversation with European and NATO leaders, called for the creation of a joint air defense shield. The call took place after the drone attack on Poland, the head of the Ukrainian state reported.
"We all equally understand that this is a completely different level of escalation by Russia. There must be an appropriate response," Zelenskyy emphasized.
EU plans to impose sanctions on around 2,600 Russian individuals and companies, journalist says
The European Union may expand its sanctions list by the end of the year. Around 2,600 additional Russian individuals and companies are expected to be included, according to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty correspondent Rikard Jozwiak on X.
He also added that Hungary and Slovakia are trying to push the EU to lift sanctions on Russian oligarchs Mikhail Fridman and Alisher Usmanov.
Conservative activist Charlie Kirk wounded by gunfire at Utah debate
During a debate in the US state of Utah on September 10, influential far-right activist and Turning Point USA (TPUSA) executive director Charlie Kirk was shot, The Guardian reports.
Videos have circulated online showing an unknown individual shooting at Kirk during debates at the University of Utah.
According to a representative of the University of Utah, the wounded Kirk was taken out of the premises together with his security team, and the inner courtyard was cleared.
