Drone attack kills one in Zaporizhzhia

In one of the communities of the Zaporizhzhia region, a person was killed this evening, April 1, due to a Russian air attack. The enemy struck civilian infrastructure in the settlement, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
According to the official, Russians attacked a community located near the combat zone in the region.
"A person was killed. These are the preliminary consequences of the Russian drone strike on a frontline community in the Zaporizhzhia region," said the head of the Regional Military Administration.
He also added that Russia "once again strikes civilian infrastructure and kills peaceful Ukrainians."
At around 8:30 PM, the RMA chief announced an air raid alert in the communities of the Zaporizhzhia region (excluding the city of Zaporizhzhia) and urged residents to take cover.
Later, an air raid alert was also declared for Zaporizhzhia itself, lasting about 30 minutes in the regional center.
Updated: Two injured in drone strike
This morning, the head of the regional military administration (OVA) provided further details on the drone strike carried out by enemy forces on a frontline community in the Zaporizhzhia region. It is now known that two individuals were injured in the attack.
"A 45-year-old man was killed. Two others - a 44-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman - were injured," the official reported.
According to Fedorov, the Russian drone targeted cars parked near a residential building.
He also released a photo showing the aftermath of the enemy strike on the frontline community of the region.
Shahed drone attack
Earlier, on April 1, in the evening, Russian forces launched strike drones toward Ukraine. This attack followed a pause in using Shahed drones the previous night.
Military expert Ivan Stupak explained why Russian forces did not launch Shahed drones for the first time in months the previous night.
As for tonight's attack, the movement of kamikaze drones was recorded from both the southern and northern directions. Several regions declared air raid alerts in response to the Shahed drone threat.
