Hramova and Karmazin were hit by an enemy Lancet UAV. Filashkin shared a photo of the destroyed vehicle in which the Freedom team members were traveling.
"From the very first days of Russia's full-scale invasion, they covered the situation in the region, reporting the truth about enemy crimes, civilian evacuations, and the stories of our defenders. They worked in the hottest spots of Donetsk, always being the first on the scene," wrote the head of the Donetsk ODA.
"It's hard to believe this happened to them… This is a tremendous loss for the region and for all of us. Bright, compassionate, fair, and honest. Olena and Yevhen will forever remain in our memory as such… My deepest condolences to their families, loved ones, and colleagues. Russia is a terrorist state and must pay for all its crimes!" he added.
