Drone attack and explosions reported in Russia's Tula region
Explosions were reported in Russia's Tula region near the city of Aleksin overnight on November 9, as air defenses engaged in response to an aerial attack, according to Russian media.
Locals reported hearing multiple explosions throughout the night in Aleksin, suggesting a possible drone strike.
Additionally, over ten drones were allegedly spotted in the skies over the area.
Russian media reported ongoing air defense operations, speculating that the Aleksinsky Chemical Plant, located near the city, might have been the target of the attack.
Public information identifies this facility as the Federal State Enterprise Aleksinsky Chemical Plant, which produces polymers, gunpowder, ammunition, and composite materials for the Russian defense industry.
There is also speculation online that drones may have targeted another local defense-related enterprise, the Aleksinsky Experimental Mechanical Plant.
