Russia, under the leadership of Vladimir Putin, is likely to face great difficulties. However, the involvement of North Korean troops in the war in Ukraine could bring the conflict to Asia as well, states French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot.

Asked by a journalist whether France has a reaction to Seoul's accusations that North Korea is sending troops to Russia to fight in the war in Ukraine, Barrot said they are still investigating the issue.

“If this is confirmed, and we are listening to our Ukrainian partners on this issue, it will not be a surprise, as North Korea's support for Russian military efforts has been known for a long time,” he said.

At the same time, he emphasized that this step by Russia would be extremely serious, as it would bring the conflict to a new level, to an even greater escalation.

“In a sense, it would also mean that Russia would export this conflict to Asia. But, if I may say so, it would be a confirmation of the fact that Russia, under the leadership of Vladimir Putin, is facing great difficulties in breaking through Ukrainian defense lines and resistance, to the point that it has to turn to North Korea for help,” the minister explained.

DPRK sends its soldiers to Russia

On October 16, an RBC-Ukraine source in the Defense Forces reported that Russia was training more than 10,000 North Korean soldiers in the Far East.

North Korea previously provided Russia with only military assistance and was not a direct party to the war against Ukraine. However, after the signing of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between Russia and the DPRK, the nature of the assistance changed.

Today, SPRAVDI showed video evidence that DPRK soldiers are already in Russia.
