The shelling of Dnipro has one distinguishing feature that sets it apart from previous Russian attacks on the city. The regional center was attacked by Russian forces on the evening of March 26, Borys Filatov, Mayor of Dnipro, reports.

According to Filatov, this shelling was one of the most massive attacks.

"One of the most massive attacks Dnipro has seen in three years of war. The consequences are extensive, but fortunately, everyone is alive," Filatov emphasized.

Utility workers, along with the State Emergency Service, police, and all relevant services, have been working since nightfall.

"We are still assessing the final damage, but for now, it’s around 20 damaged apartment buildings. Windows were shattered, and roofs were damaged. Window panes were also broken in one of the schools," Filatov said.

According to the Mayor of Dnipro, some locations were hit for the second time.

"Right now, our commissions are working at all affected sites, collecting requests for damage assessments," Filatov stated.

On the evening of March 26, Russian forces attacked Dnipro with Shahed kamikaze drones, resulting in several sites of fire in the city. In particular, vehicles and infrastructure facilities caught fire.

Reports later revealed that in addition to the damaged apartment buildings - initially estimated to be more than ten - three people were injured in the attack on Dnipro.

On the night of March 27, Russia launched 86 drones at Ukraine. Russian forces also struck Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Voronezh region.
