The participants of the Global Summit in Switzerland will discuss how to engage Russia in finding a way to a just peace in Ukraine, states the President of Switzerland Viola Amherd.

"A long-term solution must include both sides. As the international community, we can pave the way. That is why we are here. At the same time, we want to make real progress on specific issues. We have identified three issues that we will discuss in working groups. These are food security, nuclear security, and the human dimension of war," Amherd said.

According to her, the most important goals of the summit are to inspire a process that will become the basis for a comprehensive and just peace for Ukraine.

"We also want to discuss how and under what conditions Russia can be included in this process," the Swiss President added.

She noted that finding a path to peace requires perseverance, will and effort on the part of both Ukraine and Russia.

"We will be able to achieve a concrete goal when we unite. Even where our opinions differ. At this summit, we will take the first step. It is very important that it is followed by the second one," Amherd emphasized.
