As of now, nine fatalities have been reported due to a missile strike on Kyiv. Destruction has been recorded in seven districts of the capital, citing the Office of the Prosecutor General.

As of 12:40 PM, the known casualties are:

  • 9 dead;
  • 33 injured.

Destruction and damage to civilian infrastructure have been recorded in seven districts of the capital:

  • In the Shevchenkivskyi district, the children's hospital Okhmatdyt was affected, with significant damage.
  • In the Holosiivskyi district, a kindergarten and a residential building were damaged, and cars are burning.
  • In the Solomianskyi district, an office building was damaged.
  • In the Dniprovskyi district, debris is burning in a residential area.
  • In the Darnytskyi district, a private house was damaged.
  • In the Sviatoshynskyi district, debris is burning near a residential building, and there was also a fire at one of the enterprises.
  • In the Desnianskyi district, a building caught fire.

Kyiv under attack

Around 9:50 AM, a large-scale air raid alert was declared in Ukraine. After the missile launches, explosions were heard in the Kropyvnytskyi district, Kryvyi Rih, and Dnipro. Notably, air defense systems were active in the Kyiv region and Kyiv. Later, it was reported that debris fell in several districts of the capital and that a missile hit the children's hospital Okhmatdyt. Additionally, Russian terrorists targeted a residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
