Russia has carried out a massive attack on Ukraine, launching dozens of missiles. Most of the targets were successfully intercepted, but there were still some hits on a hotel in Cherkasy and infrastructure in Rivne, and fires broke out in Kyiv due to falling debris.

To prepare this material, data from the Chief Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the State Emergency Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Kyiv City Military Administration, Mayor of Kyiv Vitaly Klitschko, the Chairman of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration Ihor Taburets, the Chairman of Rivne Regional Military Administration Vitaly Koval, the Chairman of Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi, the Chairman of Drohobych Regional Military Administration Stepan Kulynyak, Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the Chairman of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Synehubov, Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the National Police, and Ukrenergo (national power company) were used.

Russia launched 43 missiles, 36 of them intercepted

For the strike tonight, the Russians used dozens of missiles. At around 03:40 a.m., the occupiers attacked Ukraine with airborne cruise missiles X-101/X-555/X-55, said the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi.

In total, the enemy launched 43 cruise missiles from 10 strategic Tu-95MS aircraft from the area west of Engels. Launches occurred in several waves from different directions, and the missiles constantly changed their routes.

As a result of the combat actions of the air defense forces, 36 cruise missiles were destroyed.

Furthermore, at 06:00 in the morning, the enemy struck Kharkiv with S-300 surface-to-air guided missiles.

Kyiv

Tonight, the enemy attacked the capital city with missiles. According to the Kyiv Military Administration's estimates, over 20 enemy targets were shot down over the city. Missile fragments fell in several districts.

In particular, a fire broke out in the premises of the car repair station in the Darnytskyi district, as well as in two cars in the adjacent area. Windows were shattered in a two-story building nearby. There are reports of 7 injured people in the area, including a 9-year-old child.

Additionally, in the Shevchenkivskyi district, a gas pipe was damaged, and windows were shattered in a house nearby. A 16-year-old victim in the area was hospitalized due to a severe stress reaction.

Kyiv region

In the Kyiv region, fires broke out in the premises of enterprises as a result of missile debris falling. There is also damage to private houses. Two people were injured.

According to the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a hospital in the region was also damaged.

Cherkasy

A hotel in the city center was destroyed as a result of a missile strike. The building suffered damage from the second to the fifth floor. The explosion shattered windows in nearby buildings. According to the State Emergency Service, there were 9 casualties (including 2 severe) and 13 evacuations. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported 10 casualties.

Earlier, the head of the region, Ihor Taburets, stated that there could have been 23 people in the building at the time of the attack. A missile warhead fell on the hotel. The search and rescue operation is ongoing.

"People were staying in the hotel, and office spaces were rented there as well. The administrator was taken to the hospital," Taburets said during a television broadcast.

Rivne

Rivne region experienced several missile strikes, with reports of impacts in Rivne city. The enemy targeted both energy and civilian infrastructure.

A part of the Rivne district was left without electricity. A missile strike also caused a fire in the auxiliary premises of the car repair shop covering an area of 100 sq. m. Five cars were burned, and three other vehicles and two buildings were damaged.

Drohobych

In the Lviv region, three strikes were recorded in Drohobych. The Russians hit industrial facilities twice with missiles, causing a fire in a workshop and destroying a warehouse building. Another missile hit a private warehouse. In two instances, there were fires but no casualties were reported.

Stepan Kulynyak, the head of the Drohobych Regional Military Administration, mentioned that people were present at the enterprise in Drohobych during the attack.

"During the first air raid at 6:25, hits were made on industrial infrastructure objects. A significant portion of the buildings has been damaged. At the time of the missile strike, there were employees at the facility. Fortunately, there is currently no information about casualties or injuries," Kulynyak reported.

Furthermore, the mayor of Lviv, Andrii Sadovyi, reported four missiles shot down, which were heading toward the city.

Kharkiv

Around six in the morning, the enemy launched 6 missile strikes on the Slobozhanskyi district of Kharkiv. The enemy used S-300 missiles.

A civilian infrastructure object was hit during the shelling. A fire broke out in a production and storage building, covering an area of 200 sq. m. Three people were injured, including a 24-year-old man. Additionally, two men aged 58 and 65 were injured.

Windows were also shattered in the emergency medical care department due to the impact. There is damage to the road.

First attack on energy facilities in six months

As reported by Ukrenergo, this morning, due to a massive enemy missile attack, some facilities in the western and central regions suffered damage.

There were partial power outages in the Rivne and Zhytomyr regions.

Currently, the operation of the main networks in the region has been restored, and the restoration of household consumers is ongoing.

Other attack targets

Kherson

Last night was restless in the Kherson region. In the middle of the night, the enemy began striking residential areas in Kherson with various weapons. As a result of these attacks, 7 fires occurred in the city.

Residential and multi-story buildings, cars, and a shopping arcade in one of the city's markets were on fire. Firefighters worked to extinguish the fires despite the ongoing shelling.

According to the police, 3 people were killed, and 5 others were injured.

During the same night, occupiers shelled the village of Kizomys with incendiary munitions. Residential and economic structures caught fire, but the fires were extinguished.
