The UAV forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in coordination with other components of the Defense Forces, struck oil refineries in the Ryazan and Samara regions of Russia, according to a Telegram post from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In particular, on the night of March 9, an oil refinery in the Ryazan region of Russia, which supplies the Russian army, was hit. Explosions were recorded near the target.

The Ryazan refinery produced an average of 840,000 tons of high-grade fuel for jet engines. Aviation kerosene of the TS-1 grade, produced by this refinery, was actively used by the aggressor's aviation in carrying out strikes on Ukrainian territory.

Additionally, on the night of March 10, a strike was recorded on the production facilities of the Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery in the Samara region. Fuel from this refinery is transported via pipelines and railways to supply the enemy’s forces in the northern direction.

Detailed information regarding the consequences of the strikes is being clarified.

"The Defense Forces continue to take all necessary measures to undermine the military-economic potential of the Russian army and force Russia to halt its armed aggression against Ukraine," the General Staff stated.
