Russian troops are trying to reach Kupiansk through underground pipelines, according to the Deep State Telegram channel.

The entrances to the pipeline are located in the area of Lyman Pershyi. For movement, Russian soldiers use specially designed wheeled cots and electric scooters where the height allows.

According to analysts, it takes about four days to reach the outskirts of Kupiansk. Along the route, special rest areas and food supplies have been prepared.

Thus, organized enemy groups manage to reach Radkivka without significant losses and then move south into the forest, which they control. After that, they disperse in Kupiansk and reach the railway.

According to Deep State, there are already positions in Kupiansk for pilot takeoffs.

“The absence of forced evacuation of residents, who are now living in the same houses with the enemy, also creates problems, as it prevents strikes on many locations. In addition, locals share food with them,” Deep State analysts wrote.

A video has now appeared online, allegedly showing the same pipelines being used to pass into Pokrovsk, but in fact, it was filmed near Kupiansk, military analysts assure.

For the first time, Russian troops used an underground pipeline to enter the rear of Ukrainian positions in Avdiivka in January 2024.

The second time the Russian army employed this tactic was in March 2025, when they attempted to approach Sudzha in the Kursk region through a gas pipeline.

“The enemy’s sabotage and assault groups moved along a branch of the gas pipeline to gain a foothold on the outskirts of the city of Sudzha. The enemy forces were timely detected by the aerial reconnaissance units of the Air Assault Forces,” the communications department of the Command of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces reported.
