Russian forces launched a massive attack on Kyiv tonight. As a result of debris falling, a fire broke out on the roof of the Auchan shopping center in the Darnytskyi district of the capital, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the head of the Darnytskyi District State Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk.

The State Emergency Service reports that the fire has now been extinguished. The total area of the fire was 50 square meters.

Rocket attack on Kyiv

On August 30th, the Russian occupying army launched cruise missile strikes from the strategic bombers Tu-95MS early this morning. Air defense forces were reported to be active in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad regions, Odesa, and the surrounding areas.

As a result of the overnight Russian attack on Kyiv, debris falling and fires were reported in the Darnytskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the capital. Preliminary reports indicate that two people have died.

According to the Mayor of Kyiv, Vitalii Klitschko, the fire in the Darnytskyi district was caused by debris falling onto the roof of a shopping center. Additionally, there was a fire in an administrative building in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Fire and rescue services are working at the scene.

The Kyiv City Military Administration also reported another debris fall in the Shevchenkivskyi district, with a fire in an open area.
