Attack on Kyiv

On the night of August 28, Russian forces carried out a combined strike on the capital, followed by a series of powerful explosions. Buildings in Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi, Holosiivskyi, Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, and Desnianskyi districts were damaged.

As a result of the nighttime massive attack, destruction was recorded in all districts of the capital. This happened for the first time since the start of the full-scale war.

In the Darnytskyi district, a five-story residential building was destroyed, and rescuers continue to search for people under the rubble.

Air Forces of Ukraine spokesperson Yurii Ihnat noted that this was one of the most massive attacks on the capital.
