The death toll from the Russian missile attack on Kyiv on February 7 has risen to 5 people. One of the injured has died in the hospital, according to the mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko.
"A woman from a building in the Holosiivskyi district died in the hospital," he said.
The mayor added that she was in extremely critical condition.
"Doctors had been fighting for the woman's life for a week," Klitschko said.
Kyiv shelling on February 7
Air raid sirens were sounded in Kyiv, the region, and a number of other regions on the morning of February 7. Later, it was reported that explosions were heard in Kyiv and the region, and air defense systems were activated.
Fires were reported in a high-rise building and at a car service station in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, and two people were injured in the Dniprovskyi district. Additionally, part of the buildings on the left bank in Kyiv were left without electricity. Debris from a Russian missile damaged two high-voltage lines. Also, a district heating main was damaged.
Overall, the number of injured in Kyiv has risen to several dozen, with 4 people reported dead.
