A day of mourning has been declared in Ukraine for those killed in the missile strike on Kryvyi Rih. The number of injured has reached 75, with 37 remaining in hospitals, according to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak.

"Today, a day of mourning is observed across the country for those killed in the horrific attack on Kryvyi Rih," stated the official in a Telegram post on the morning of April 6.

He noted that in all cities and villages of Ukraine, citizens are honoring the innocent victims of this war crime committed by Russian invaders, who once again carried out terror against the civilian population.

The head of the regional military administration also reported that the number of casualties in Kryvyi Rih has increased following the enemy missile strike on the evening of April 4.

"Regarding the number of casualties after that tragic event, one more person sought medical assistance," Lysak said.

He clarified that "the total number of those in need of medical help is now 75."

"Of them, 37 remain in hospitals. The condition of 19 patients is still critical," the head of the administration added.

Russian missile strike on Kryvyi Rih on April 4

It is reminded that on the evening of Friday, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Kryvyi Rih using ballistic missiles. Many people were killed as a result of the enemy shelling: according to the latest data, 18 civilians were killed, including 9 children.

A cluster munition struck a residential area of the city near a playground, causing significant damage to buildings, schools, and cars.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy strongly condemned the Russian strike, emphasizing the need to intensify international pressure on the aggressor country.

On April 5, it was reported that a day of mourning had been declared across Ukraine due to the tragedy in Kryvyi Rih – flags would be lowered in cities, and a minute of silence would be observed.

It was also reported that yesterday, the police showed the first footage after the enemy shelling of Kryvyi Rih.
