Attacks on Ukraine

Kharkiv and the region are under daily attacks by Russian forces. The enemy uses guided bombs, S-300 missiles, and Shahed-type attack drones, targeting mostly civilian infrastructure and residential areas of the city.

On the night of March 8, the enemy deployed 117 attack drones and two Iskander-M ballistic missiles. Air defense forces managed to neutralize 98 drones, but strikes were recorded at 11 locations.

An even larger attack occurred on the night of March 7, when the occupiers launched 480 drones and 29 missiles (mostly ballistic). The main strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, as well as Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions.

In Kharkiv, a ballistic missile struck a residential high-rise, causing fires and civilian casualties, including children. The city declared March 9 a day of mourning for the 11 people killed in the Russian missile attack on March 7.
