Zelenskyy's visit to the UK and the defense agreement
On Saturday, March 1, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in London for an official visit.
During the trip, the Ukrainian leader met with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who reaffirmed the UK’s full support for Ukraine.
Additionally, an agreement was signed for a £2.26 billion ($2.8 billion) loan to support Ukraine’s defense needs. The deal was reached under the G7's Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine (ERA) initiative.
President Zelenskyy stated that the loan, aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities, would be repaid using revenues from frozen Russian assets.
