Ukraine must be resilient and effective in the war against Russian occupiers right now. This will be a defining factor in what to expect from 2024, according to the evening address of the Ukrainian state head.

Zelenskyy reported conducting a conference call. The internal situation was discussed, particularly addressing the aftermath of Russian shelling in Kherson and its region, as well as the Zaporizhzhia region.

The President emphasized gratitude to every rescuer, doctor, and police officer.

During the meeting, reports were presented by the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. There have been positive outcomes in dealing with collaborators, instigators, and crime prevention.

The head of state mentioned significant results in December concerning the operation of the export corridor in the Black Sea, impacting the country's overall economy.

"Of course, there were reports from the frontline today - Kharkiv, Donbas, Zaporizhzhia, the left bank of Kherson. Our resilience, strength, and results at this very moment determine the outcome of this winter of full-scale war and our expectations for the next year," added the President.

Ukraine's military results in 2023

In the summer of 2023, the Ukrainian counteroffensive began, primarily focused on the Zaporizhzhia direction but deviated from the planned course.

Ukrainian defenders managed to liberate several settlements in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions, but they didn't achieve all the desired outcomes.
