President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the Crimea Platform summit. It will take place on Wednesday, September 11, according to the president's evening address.
"Today, I held several meetings with our international team. We are preparing the Crimea Platform Summit for September 11. The First Lady's team is also preparing our special diplomatic format—the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, which will also take place this week," Zelenskyy said.
According to him, new negotiations with partners are being prepared to strengthen Ukraine and bring about a just peace.
"We remember the key goal—peace for Ukraine, for all of Ukraine, for all our people," the president said.
The Crimea Platform Summit is an international event initiated by Ukraine aimed at consolidating the efforts of the international community for the de-occupation of Crimea, restoring Ukraine's territorial integrity, and increasing pressure on Russia. The Summit discusses legal, economic, political, and humanitarian ways to return Crimea to Ukrainian control.
The previous Crimea Platform Summit took place in Czechia on October 23 last year. Nearly 70 parliaments and parliamentary assemblies from five continents participated in the event.
