Complaints over 'elections' in Belgorod region - Ukrainian intelligence intercepted conversation
Russians in the Belgorod region, where the raid of Russian volunteers is ongoing, are complaining about the so-called "elections" of the President of the Russian Federation, reports the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense on Telegram.
Ukrainian intelligence intercepted a conversation among civilians from Hrabove-Ryazansky district of the Belgorod region. Russians are complaining that polling stations are open despite the "alarming situation."
"Half of the organizations are not working at all. But the polling stations are open. Go vote. And what should I vote for? For the fact that people are dying every day here," the woman said.
At the same time, the Russian woman complains that allegedly half of Belgorod is destroyed.
From March 15th to 17th, "elections" for the president are taking place in Russia. However, the Kremlin has already stated that dictator Vladimir Putin will be re-elected with a result of 90%.
Raid of Russian volunteers
On March 12th, the Russian Volunteer Corps, along with two other units, breached the border with Russia and took control of several settlements, including in the Belgorod and Kursk regions.
Earlier, Russian volunteers announced strikes on Russian military positions in Belgorod and Kursk. Residents of the Belgorod and Kursk regions were urged to evacuate. Later, the volunteers reiterated their call for evacuation.
Sources in Ukrainian intelligence informed RBC-Ukraine that the Russian authorities are blocking the evacuation of civilians in the Belgorod region.
