Drone strike hits Rostov’s Salsk, railway station ablaze

Strike drones hit the railway station in the city of Salsk, Rostov region. A fire broke out at the impact site, according to Yuri Slyusar, acting governor of the Rostov region.
“A passenger train has been moved to a safe distance. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or injuries among people. Forty-five people and twelve units of equipment are involved in firefighting,” the regional head said.
The Salsk railway station is a major railway junction in the southeast of the Rostov region.
Other consequences of the attack
Slyusar also reported that air defense forces are repelling drone attacks in the Kamyansko-Shakhtinsk, Salsk, Volgodonsk, Bokovsky, and Tarasovsky districts.
Specifically, in the Zavodsky neighborhood of Kamyansk, dry grass caught fire in a field due to a falling drone, prompting emergency services to respond.
In Salsk, a private house on Socialist Street suffered roof damage and broken windows, while a car was damaged on Ostrovsky Street.
Night drone attacks on Russia
On the night of July 29, unknown drones launched a massive attack on Russia’s Rostov region.
Residents of Salsk and Volgodonsk reported explosions in the sky and the operation of air defense systems.
Earlier, on the night of July 25, drones struck the suburbs of Taganrog and Novocherkassk.
Additionally, on the night of July 22, drones attacked the Millerovo airfield in the Rostov region, a site of strategic importance.
