The United States has suspended sending arms and intelligence sharing with Ukraine, reports the White House correspondent Edward Lawrence, citing CIA Director John Ratcliffe.

"Ratcliffe says he looks forward to lifting the pause and working with Ukraine towards peace," Lawrence says on X.

Dispute in the White House

On February 28, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived on a visit to the United States. During talks with the US President and Vice President JD Vance, a tense discussion arose between the parties. Afterward, the US side decided to temporarily suspend support for Ukraine.

On March 4, Zelenskyy said that Kyiv wanted to start negotiations as soon as possible to achieve a stable peace. Trump suggested that Russia was also allegedly ready to end hostilities.

Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal writes that Zelenskyy's willingness to engage in dialogue may not be enough to resume US aid.

During yesterday's address, the President of Ukraine said that Kyiv and Europe would soon prepare a plan for lasting peace. He called for a truce in the sky, at sea, and in the energy sector.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reports that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron are ready to travel with Zelenskyy to the United States to present a united peace plan to Trump.
