UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron are ready to travel to the US with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. They may present a peace plan, Daily Mail reports.

According to the media resource, Starmer and Macron are ready to travel to Washington with Zelenskyy as early as next week to present a united front on the peace plan to US President Donald Trump.

In particular, Daily Mail’s diplomatic sources confirmed that a ceasefire could begin with the cessation of air and naval bombardments by both sides. A source noted that most of the damage is currently caused by Russian air drones and missiles.

"If successful, the two sides would then move towards a ceasefire on land, which a source said would be 'harder to verify and easier to derail,'" writes Daily Mail.

In addition, Starmer hopes to persuade Trump to guarantee US security "backstop" that would allow the UK, France, and other members of the developing "coalition of the willing" to send their troops to maintain peace in Ukraine without fear of an immediate attack from Russian forces.

US bannes UK from sharing intelligence with Ukraine

At the same time, Daily Mail reports that the US has banned the UK from sharing intelligence with Ukraine that was obtained from Washington.

After Trump suspended military aid to Ukraine, all UK intelligence services and military institutions received an order expressly forbidding the transfer of intelligence gathered from the US.

The ban affects institutions such as the UK's GCHQ (Government Communications Headquarters), the spy agencies, and the intelligence branches of the Ministry of Defense.

Zelenskyy and Trump argument

On February 28, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the US, where a dispute arose during a conference with Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio accused Zelensky of derailing peace negotiation efforts. During the visit, Ukraine and the US had also planned to sign an agreement on minerals, which included the creation of an investment fund. However, due to the conflict, this did not take place.

Later, Trump stated that the deal could still be implemented, as it is beneficial for Washington. Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron continues to work on a peace plan for Ukraine, proposing a one-month temporary truce.

At the same time, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine and Europe will soon prepare a plan for sustainable peace and called for a ceasefire in the skies, at sea, and in the energy sector.

Yesterday, the UK Prime Minister held a phone conversation with the Ukrainian President, praising his "unwavering commitment to ensuring peace."
