Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov responded to a statement by Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service regarding Russia receiving intelligence from China, Reuters reports.

Reporters asked him whether Beijing is indeed sharing intelligence on Ukraine with Moscow to enable the aggressor country to carry out missile strikes.

"We have our own capabilities, including space capabilities, to accomplish all the tasks the special military operation poses," he said.

In early October, Oleh Alexandrov, an officer of Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service, told Ukrinform that China is providing satellite data to Russia.

According to him, this data was used to carry out missile strikes by Russia and the concerned facilities belonging to foreign investors.

"There is evidence of high-level cooperation between Russia and China in conducting satellite reconnaissance of Ukrainian territory with the aim of identifying and further reconnoitering strategic targets for strikes," Alexandrov emphasized.

During the massive strike on Sunday, October 5, at least three Chinese reconnaissance satellites were recorded over the Lviv region.

Specifically, the Chinese satellites Yaogan 33, Yaogan 33-03, and Yaogan 33-04 passed over the region nine times between 00:00 AM and 11:30 AM Kyiv time. At 06:00 AM, the optical reconnaissance satellite Yaogan 34 was detected over Lviv, completing seven orbits.

Chinese reconnaissance satellites do not only pass over the western regions of Ukraine. Orbital parameters allow more than 60 different Yaogan-series satellites to move over Ukrainian territory.
