China has successfully launched a new test satellite for communication technologies from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center. The device was launched into orbit by a Long March-3B rocket, according to China Daily.

On March 10, 2025, China successfully launched a new test satellite for communication technologies.

The launch took place from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan Province at 1:17 a.m. Beijing time. The satellite was placed into the planned orbit by a Long March-3B Chang Zheng-3B launch vehicle.

The launch center confirmed the success of the mission, noting that the satellite will be used to test multi-band and high-speed communication technologies.

This is the 562nd mission in the history of the Long March series rockets.

On April 29, 2021, China launched a launch vehicle with the main module of the future orbital station. However, the Pentagon has raised concerns that large fragments of the rocket could fall to Earth and cause destruction.

The Long March 5B (Chang Zheng 5B) rocket went out of control, and its fall was unpredictable.

According to the US Space Command, the exact location of the rocket's impact was unknown. The Pentagon was monitoring its trajectory.
