However, officials said that Beijing supports all efforts aimed at achieving peace, according to Radio Free Europe report.
Mao Ning, the ministry's spokesperson, emphasized that China's position on the "crisis" in Ukraine remains consistent and clear, focusing on facilitating peace negotiations.
"After the full escalation of the crisis in Ukraine, China maintains communication with relevant parties, including Ukraine. We will continue to work with the international community to play a constructive part in the political resolution of the crisis, welcoming and supporting all efforts aimed at achieving peace," she said.
Regarding whether Ukraine requested a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the head of the Chinese delegation, Li Qiang, in Davos, the spokesperson said that she had no information on such a request.
