Beijing stated that maintaining good-neighborly relations among China, India, and Russia serves the interests of the peoples of these countries and contributes to peace and stability worldwide, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun.
Commenting on Russian leader Vladimir Putin's visit to India at the end of last week, the spokesperson said that "China, India, and Russia are major developing economies and important members of the Global South."
"Maintaining good-neighborly relations among the three countries not only aligns with the interests of their peoples but also promotes peace, stability, and prosperity both in the region and globally," the diplomat said.
He also emphasized Beijing's readiness to continue normalizing dialogue with New Delhi and to work with India from a long-term, strategic perspective to ensure the stable development of bilateral relations.

On December 4, Russian leader Vladimir Putin arrived in India on his first state visit since the start of the war in Ukraine. Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally greeted him on the red carpet at New Delhi airport.
Modi stated that his country is not a neutral side regarding Russia's war against Ukraine and that it stands on the side of peace.
Russia–China relations
China officially positions itself as neutral in Russia's war against Ukraine, while continuing close cooperation with Moscow.
In August, Chinese leader Xi Jinping announced plans to work with Russia to reshape the international order.
Meanwhile, media outlets have reported that some Chinese companies supply Russia with dual-use goods that can be used in weapons production.
China has become a key supplier for the Russian military, and there are indications of possible transfers of lethal equipment.
Reuters also reported that Chinese combat engines have been covertly delivered to Russia disguised as "industrial refrigeration units," bypassing Western sanctions.
