Attack on Ukraine on July 12
On the night of July 12, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones and cruise missiles. Chernivtsi became one of the epicenters of the strike — according to official data, the region was attacked by four "Shahed"-type drones and one missile.
In Chernivtsi, debris from enemy objects caused large-scale fires, and administrative buildings, residential houses, stores, and cars were destroyed. The death of two people has been confirmed—a 26-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man.
In the Storozhynets community, damage to housing and cars was recorded, but there were no casualties.
At the same time, other regions of Ukraine were also under fire. In Lviv, a drone hit a residential building, destroyed an entrance, caused a gas leak, and ignited the roof. In the Zaliznychnyi district, other buildings were damaged, including a kindergarten.
In Lutsk, explosions and a large-scale fire were also recorded, which completely destroyed a private house. Emergency services are currently eliminating all the consequences of the attack.
Russia carried out at least 10 strikes on Kharkiv on the night of July 12, using eight combat drones and two guided aerial bombs.
