More than 210 flights have been delayed or canceled at Moscow airports following a massive attack by Ukraine’s Defense Forces on the Russian capital, according to the Telegram channel Ostorozhno, Moskva.

Domodedovo, one of Moscow’s largest airports, has once again experienced major technical problems, with a widespread outage affecting its website.

Users are unable to access the homepage, online departures board, and most other online services. Despite the disruptions, the option to purchase tickets remains available.

Sheremetyevo Airport has reported the most significant flight disruptions, with 65 departures and 106 arrivals delayed or canceled.

According to the latest data, approximately 40 flights have also been affected at Vnukovo Airport.

Passengers at Sheremetyevo have reported lengthy waits in Terminal D. In social media posts, some said they had been waiting there since 6 a.m. Aircraft are not currently departing, and flights are being rescheduled or canceled.

However, the airport has made no official announcements about closures. Passengers say that despite the large crowds, the situation inside the terminal remains relatively calm.

They also speculate that international flights are still departing, whereas domestic flights have been suspended.

Ukraine’s attacks on Russia on October 23–24

On Friday morning, Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed that its air defense forces had intercepted 616 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones.

This time, air defenses attempted to shoot down Ukrainian drones across 18 Russian regions, including Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kirov, Kursk, Lipetsk, Oryol, Penza, Rostov, Ryazan, Samara, Saratov, Smolensk, Tambov, Tula, and Ulyanovsk regions, as well as the Moscow region, occupied Crimea, the Republic of Tatarstan, and Krasnodar Krai. Drones were also reportedly intercepted over Russian-occupied Crimea and the Black and Azov seas.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s General Staff announced that Ukrainian Defense Forces struck two Russian military-industrial complex facilities and an aircraft at the Yeysk airfield overnight.
