Car drives into crowd at Christmas market in Germany: Dozens injured
In the German city of Magdeburg, a car drove into a crowd of people at a Christmas market. As a result of the incident, many were injured, Bild reportts.
According to eyewitnesses, the car drove straight into the crowd heading toward the Magdeburg Town Hall. People scattered in panic.
After the incident, the Christmas market was closed. Organizers urged local residents to leave the city center.
According to Bild, 20 people were injured as a result of the incident. There were also reports in the media about fatalities.
A spokesperson for the regional government, Matthias Schuppe, stated that the incident was considered a terrorist attack.

According to the Magdeburg Rescue Service, between 60 and 80 people were injured as a result of the car driving into the crowd at the Christmas market.
Accident in Germany
At the end of April this year, a double-decker bus in Germany overturned with high school students onboard. The bus was heading for a trip to the United Kingdom.
As a result of the accident, the bus driver and 27 students were injured.
A total of 67 students aged 14 to 15, as well as five teachers, were on the bus.
