The internet has been shaken by reports of a significant decline in Bruce Willis's health. The actor allegedly can no longer speak, read, or walk. Here's what is known about the action star’s condition and whether it has really worsened.

What is known about Bruce Willis's health

The action movie legend has been battling a serious neurological illness for over two years.

Initially, he was diagnosed with aphasia, and later with frontotemporal dementia, which affects speech, memory, and behavior.

Recently, media outlets reported that the 70-year-old actor is allegedly no longer able to speak, read, or walk.

Some claimed he had "completely lost speech," had become "immobile," and now requires constant care.

He reportedly cannot move without assistance and does not remember his acting career.

What Bruce Willis's family says about his condition

There has been no official confirmation from the family regarding the reported decline.

In June 2025, the actor's daughter Rumer commented on her father's struggle with dementia.

She posted a series of photos with Bruce and hinted at his issues with speech and memory.

"I wish I asked you more questions while you could still tell me about it all," she shared.

What is known about Bruce's illness

To recall, Bruce Willis ended his acting career in 2022 after more than 40 years in film due to aphasia, a disorder that affects speech functions.

Then in 2023, his family revealed that the condition was caused by frontotemporal dementia.

At that time, his wife Emma shared that Bruce had begun losing his memory, his logical thinking had worsened, and his perception of reality was deteriorating.

The actor is being supported through this difficult time by his wife and their daughters, Mabel and Evelyn.

His older daughters from his marriage to Demi Moore—Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah—are also actively involved. Demi, notably, continues to support her former husband by being present.
