The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, said that Russia's aggression does not demonstrate a real interest in peace.

According to him, Putin's unacceptable demands are intended to legitimize the invasion and undermine peace efforts in Ukraine.

"Russia rearms and prepares for a long war," Borrell wrote.

Yesterday, Russian leader Vladimir Putin spoke again about peace talks with Ukraine. He announced "another real peace proposal." Read more about Putin's ultimatums here.

Peace summit

This weekend, Switzerland is hosting the Ukraine Peace Summit, initiated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

It will be attended by representatives of about 100 countries and international organizations. The main topics will be three issues from the Ukrainian peace formula.
