Recently, it became known that DPRK troops were involved in Russia's war against Ukraine. North Korea will face diplomatic pressure for this, states the head of EU diplomacy Josep Borrell.

He noted that the active participation of North Korean troops in Russia's war against Ukraine is one of the most disturbing things that has happened in recent days.

“This war is further globalized. Who could have imagined North Korean troops fighting on the Eastern front?” Borrell said.

During the press conference, the EU diplomat said that he had recently been to the South Korean capital Seoul. And it was no accident. According to Borrell, there will be diplomatic pressure on the DPRK to avoid such situations.

“I was in Seoul... to apply diplomatic pressure on the Pacific region, especially on North Korea and its neighbors. We continue to push for a diplomatic resolution to avoid an escalation,” he summarized.

The US State Department recently stated that the United States continues to engage with allies and partners. The parties are working to respond to the deployment of DPRK troops near the border of Ukraine.

On Friday, November 8, Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, also confirmed that North Korean soldiers are already near the front line in the Kursk region. According to him, they are supposed to be training to use FPV drones there.
