Boost in long-range weapons: Ramstein-18 outcomes disclosed by Ukraine's MoD
During the latest Ramstein format meeting, issues of increasing deliveries of long-range weapons to Ukraine were discussed. The adaptation of Western anti-aircraft missiles to Soviet launching platforms was also raised, announces the Head of the Press and Information Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Ilarion Pavliuk.
"There is a full understanding from our partners that we need this weaponry, and commitments to work on providing more weapons for Ukraine for such strikes," says Pavliuk.
What else was discussed at the meeting
During the meeting, the adaptation of Western anti-aircraft missiles to Soviet launching platforms available to the Armed Forces of Ukraine was also discussed.
Increasing capabilities for the production of ammunition and artillery systems were also discussed, particularly in joint projects with partner countries and Ukraine.
Supply of helicopters
Colonel Hennadiy Kovalenko, the Head of the Department of International Defense Cooperation at the Ministry of Defense, reports that the meeting also discussed strengthening Ukraine's capabilities in aviation, anti-aircraft, artillery coalitions, and maritime security coalitions.
In particular, Colonel Kovalenko notes that within the aviation coalition, along with commitments to provide F-16 aircraft, discussions are also underway regarding the provision of additional helicopters by allies.
"It was a productive meeting, and after it, I would like to say calm down to all those who are raising concerns about Ukraine losing support," emphasizes Pavliuk.

It was previously reported that today, on January 23, the 18th meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine in the Ramstein format began.
Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin urged participants in the meeting to provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with "more lifesaving ground-based air-defense systems and interceptors."
