Biden states which response from Israel to Iran's strike US will not approve
The US opposes Israel striking Iran's nuclear facilities in response to yesterday's attack. American officials will discuss response options with their Israeli counterparts, states US President Joe Biden.
Journalists asked Biden whether he would support Israel's response strike on facilities related to Iran's nuclear program.
"The answer is no," emphasized the American leader.
According to Biden, he is set to have a phone conversation "relatively soon" with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"We’ll be discussing with the Israelis what they’re going to do," the president added.
Attack on Israel
Yesterday, on October 1, Iran launched about 200 ballistic missiles at Israel. Explosions were heard across various parts of Israel in this context.
The IDF acknowledged that there were hits in the central and southern regions of the country but stated that a "significant number" of the targets were intercepted.
Today, October 2, Israel's Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi said that Israel may identify "significant targets" and strike them in response.
