Israel general vows response to Iranian attack: 'We can hit important targets'
Israel will respond to yesterday's Iranian attack with ballistic missiles, potentially targeting important locations, stated Israeli Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi, according to The Guardian.
"We will respond. We can locate important targets and we can hit them precisely and powerfully," Halevi emphasized in a video message from an air force base in central Israel.
He reminded us that Israel has the capability to strike anywhere in the Middle East.
"And those of our enemies who have not yet understood this, will understand this soon," he said.
What preceded it
Yesterday, October 1, in the evening, Iran attacked Israel with ballistic missiles. As noted by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), the country's air defense system shot down a large number of targets.
In total, according to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Iran used about 200 missiles for the attack.
The US military helped Israel shoot down enemy missiles. Britain also participated in the defense against the attack.
Iran explained the attack as revenge for the assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh in July, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and IRGC General Abbas Nilfrushan last week.
