Biden's team preparing the strongest possible position on Ukraine for Trump - Blinken
The administration of the current White House President Joe Biden is working to convey to the 47th President of the United States (US) Donald Trump the strongest possible position on Ukraine, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says in an interview with CBS News.
During the interview, the host said that critics are concerned about the possibility of a full-scale war in Ukraine during Trump's presidency not in favor of Kyiv. The US Secretary of State replied that there was no point in speculating on this issue.
“What does make sense is to make sure that we give the next administration, we give the incoming Trump administration, the strongest possible hand for it to play around the world, whether it’s on Ukraine or anything else,” Blinken said.
US election
Despite the fact that two months have passed since the US presidential election, Trump remains the newly elected leader. But, shortly after his inauguration, he will officially take over the White House.
According to the US Constitution, the inauguration takes place on January 20, or on January 21 if the previous day falls on a Sunday.
