President of the United States, Joe Biden, declared that the Houthi, who attacked maritime traffic in the Red Sea, should be considered a terrorist group, according to Bloomberg.

On the journalists' question of whether Biden is ready to label the Houthis as a terrorist organization, the U.S. President responded affirmatively.

"I think they are," Biden said.

The U.S. President also informed journalists that, in his opinion, the strikes against the Houthis were successful.

"Yes. I don’t think there’s any civilian casualties, that’s another reason why it’s a success," the President stated.

"I’ve already delivered the message to Iran. They know not to do anything,” Biden added. “We will make sure that we respond to the Houthis as they continue this outrageous behavior, along with our allies."

U.S. and UK strikes on Yemen

On the night of January 12, the United States and the United Kingdom launched airstrikes against the Houthi rebels in Yemen, utilizing aircraft and ships. They targeted weapons storage facilities and training bases of the Houthis. Videos depicting fires caused by one of the strikes have surfaced online.
