Fierce fighting continues near Dvorichna in the Kharkiv region. Despite all claims made by Russian propaganda, the enemy troops have failed to break through the defenses of Ukrainian units or capture the settlement, according to a statement by Major Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Khortytsia operational-strategic grouping of troops, during a national telethon live broadcast.

"Intense fighting is ongoing directly in Dvorichna. Ukrainian forces are trying to hold their positions in the town despite constant enemy attacks," said the spokesperson of the Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Grouping of Troops, Major Viktor Trehubov.

According to the major, Russian forces are currently attempting to lay siege to areas near the roads leading to Toretsk and Chasiv Yar. However, they have made no real progress.

"They’re trying to use light motorized vehicles for fast maneuvering, but it’s largely ineffective. In this case, the terrain and Ukrainian engineering fortifications work in our favor," he explained.

Russian troops are also trying to advance via bridges over the Oskil River and along the road toward Dvorichna, but without success. One of the reasons is logistical difficulties, as Ukrainian drones are quickly eliminating their supply routes.

"Oskil has become a serious obstacle for the occupiers. Crossing it is impossible due to equipment and logistics problems… Without a viable logistics chain, they can’t deploy heavy equipment, so they’re resorting to light vehicles, trucks, and motorcycles," Trehubov concluded.

On June 12, the DeepState project reported that Russian forces had captured Dvorichna in the Kharkiv region. On the analytical project’s map, the settlement was marked as being in the“red zone.

Russian losses in the war

As reported by RBC-Ukraine, the losses of Russian occupation forces since February 24, 2022, have finally exceeded one million personnel. Of these, 628,000 Russian soldiers were eliminated in just the past year and a half, during a period when continuous "meat grinder" assaults by large infantry groups became a common tactic in the Russian army. In recognition of this grim milestone, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi awarded Ukrainian soldiers for neutralizing the first million Russian troops at the front.

In a separate report, RBC-Ukraine provided a detailed breakdown of the total enemy combat losses from February 24, 2022, to June 12, 2025.
