Azerbaijani MiG-29s in Armed Forces of Ukraine: Number of fighters Ukraine could receive

The Armed Forces of Ukraine could receive up to three MiG-29 fighters from Azerbaijan, which were in Ukraine for repairs at the start of the full-scale invasion, Defense Express.
"The Ukrainian Air Force could receive up to three MiG-29s. It’s not many, but still a valuable reinforcement," Defense Express noted.
According to media reports, before the full-scale invasion, three MiG-29s of the Azerbaijani Air Force were undergoing repairs at the Lviv Aircraft Repair Plant.
Background
On September 4, a photograph circulated online showing a Ukrainian MiG-29 painted in camouflage typical of the Azerbaijani Air Force. In the image, the fighter is painted in blue, gray, and purple-gray tones and, judging by its armament, appears to be on a combat mission.
The date and location of the photo are unknown, but the aircraft was carrying R-27 and R-73 air-to-air missiles. Although there is a possibility that the image was edited, there is no evidence of manipulation.
It is unclear whether these aircraft were officially transferred to Kyiv, sold, confiscated, or activated by other means. Interestingly, Azerbaijan’s MiG-29 fleet originally came from Ukraine, with the first deliveries starting in 2007.
Overall, Baku acquired about 15 aircraft, which underwent repairs and partial modernization in Lviv. Between 2015 and 2017, these jets participated in joint exercises with Türkiye and were later sent back to Ukraine for further repairs.
