Russian forces shelled Ternopil last night, June 6. Following the explosions, smoke is visible in the city, and residents have been urged to stay indoors, reports Ternopil's mayor, Serhii Nadal.

“After the explosions in Ternopil, smoke is being observed. Air quality measurements are being conducted by the Ternopil Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention. However, I ask you to stay at home for now unless absolutely necessary. During the day, please limit the time children and elderly people spend outdoors,” the city mayor said.

He also reported that as a result of the enemy attack in Ternopil, industrial facilities and infrastructure objects were hit. Relevant services are working on-site.

“Part of Ternopil is without electricity. Water pressure across the city is reduced due to power outages. There may be no water pressure on the upper floors. Restoration work is underway,” he added.
